Terry Tierney passionately explains Confident Living's importance: "I believe one of the more crucial issues confronting communities today is that of helping teens transition into healthy adults. The future of our families, our communities and our country depends upon it. Confident Living plays a vital role in the family healing process. We offer the dual approach of simultaneously mentoring kids while coaching their parents, with the goal of developing highly functioning young adults and a healthier family ecosystem. Tierney joined the Confident Living in 2003 as a business consultant. As C.E.O., he is now responsible for leading the company's growth plan and expanding its healing services to families across the U.S. Along with David Herz, Tierney is creating a team of highly talented, experienced and passionate people committed to changing the world - one teen at a time.

"In our first five years, Confident Living has developed a strong therapeutic model for helping at-risk teens and families in crisis. We want to be able to help more people across the country," shared founder, David Herz, who has worked with teens for 20 years. "Now is the time for Confident Living to expand its equally strong business model to other markets across the country. To do so, Terry will apply his expertise in growing small companies in a healthy, sustainable fashion. We look forward to his stewardship in this process."

Tierney's career spans 21 years as a business leader, with most of those years in the consumer packaged goods industry. With management experience at Kraft, Rocky Mountain Natural Foods, Allegro Coffee, Whole Foods Market, and Frontier Natural Brands, he has developed world-class brands, top-flight management teams and companies with strong values and passions. Over the years, Tierney personally has been involved with numerous companies and non-profits dedicated to improving the lives of adolescents and young adults, including groups such as: Kids for Saving the Earth, Coffee Kids, Collage Children's Museum of Boulder, and Ogichi Daa Kwe, Imagine Foundation and The Boulder Homeless Shelter. His commitment to Confident Living is a natural extension of this life-long mission.
