Vive has a tight knit team from coast to coast. These "Vivers" are mentors, parent coaches, therapeutic team leaders, managers, and office staff who are all passionate about helping families thrive. The Vive team is led by the Vive Leadership, comprised of seasoned therapeutic and business professionals who are driven by a shared passion for family wellness and healing.
As the founder of Vive and Director of Therapeutic Services, Dave leads Vive mentors and parent coaches in their application of the Vive Approach. He takes great pleasure in ensuring that the services delivered by Vive practitioners are of the highest quality, and that practitioners are each engaged in their own process of personal and professional growth. Dave has an M.A. in Education from the University of Colorado, Boulder, is a certified psychotherapist, and has worked with kids and families as a teacher, counselor, therapist, mentor, and coach for more than 20 years. He has been a rabid Cubs fan for over forty years and plans to be there with his dad and sons when they win the pennant . . . soon. Dave’s roles as son, father of three teenagers (two boys and a girl), and husband are what keep him both humble and deeply passionate about his work with parents and young people. Dave’s passion is to help young people find the courage and inspiration to move toward responsible, productive, joyful young adulthood, while helping parents engage this process with less pain and more hope.
Rohini has a special ability to come alongside parents in a spirit of deep compassion and practical support. Her work has focused on helping parents take care of themselves and meet their own needs so they have more of themselves to give to their children and the family as a whole. Rohini has used her gifts providing Vive services since 2006. She received her master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with a Certificate in Consciousness Health and Healing from the University of Santa Monica, and she is presently an intern pursuing her licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. Rohini is passionate about parenting, and her biggest teachers are her two daughters.
Michael’s passion is helping young people, especially those who are labeled “at-risk,” their families, and their communities, nationally and internationally. Combining business and project management experience with clinical experience, Michael now directs the transformation of Vive’s therapeutic model and practitioners' experience into powerful tools for families. Michael has a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and has worked with youth and families in private practice, therapeutic groups, residential treatment, wilderness therapy, crisis debriefing, and family systems restoration for over 18 years. He has worked with community leaders to restore families and communities nationally in New York City’s Harlem and the Mississippi Delta, and internationally in Russia, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Haiti, and China. Michael lives outside of Boulder, Colorado with his wife and two children (who always have more to teach him about parenting) and in his free time enjoys playing with his family, biking, fly fishing, snowboarding, writing, and enjoying the bounty of Colorado’s natural wonders.
Willow is truly a force at Vive. The young women she mentors, as well as the practitioners she leads, feel empowered and motivated when they are in her presence. She began working with at-risk youth in 1996 in Boulder, Colorado, while studying for her master’s in Contemplative Psychotherapy. After graduating in 1999, she worked for Boulder County Mental Health Center providing home-based family and individual therapy. Now a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Marriage and Family Therapist, Willow promotes a holistic and integrated approach to therapy and holds the vision that with help, families can change patterns and heal from past wounds.
