Vive! Featured Practitioners

Each month, we like to introduce you to a male and female mentor and a parent coach to give you a sense of the quality and capabilities of our practitioners. A full list of bios for each regional office is available upon request-just call or email the Regional Director for that office. This month's featured team members are practitioners working in our Northern California Region:

Drew Krafcik, MA, CPC
Mentor, Northern California Region
Drew's experience with young people includes program directing, mentoring, coaching, teaching, and counseling. Most recently, he served as a Chaplain and Coordinator of Spiritual Care for hospice in San Diego. He has a M.A. in Pastoral Care and Counseling from the University of San Diego, and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Dayton. He is currently working on his Ph.D. in Transpersonal Psychology at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, CA. He is a certified Pastoral Counselor and Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors.

Marie Mintz, MSW, LCSW
Parent Coach, Northern California Region
For the past 20 years, Marie has worked primarily with adolescents and their families providing psychotherapy. She has also provided supervision and training to other clinicians in day treatment and residential programs working with severely emotionally disturbed youth. Her best training came from being a parent and weathering the storms of adolescence with her own two children and realizing that all the "book learnin" in the world can only partially prepare a parent for the biggest job they'll ever have. Marie loves being a part of the process of growth and change for her clients and is continually inspired by the courage they display in that process. Marie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, having received both her BA and MSW from UC Berkeley. She has a private practice in Walnut Creek and in Oakland . She refuels by hitting bay area hiking trails and the dance floor wherever zydeco music is playing.

Roni Gillenson, MA, LMFT
Mentor, Northern California Region
Roni is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in San Francisco, California with over ten years of experience providing psychotherapy to adults, families, couples, adolescents and children. Her experience is highlighted by her passionate and committed work with adolescents and children in residential and day treatment programs. Her strengths lie in working with adolescents confronting issues of substance abuse, juvenile probation, sexuality, trauma, entering adulthood and managing peer and parent relationships.
